The EC proposal will aim to tackle microplastics unintentionally released into the environment. The proposal will outline priority sectors. Companies may be required to act on labelling, standards, certification or with other provisions set in regulatory measures.
Timeline
Proposal is foreseen to be published by the European Commission as of Q3 2023.
